HELP & HOPE: St. Bernard Parish Recovery Project

As I was formulating my thoughts about my trip to St. Bernard's Parish, I wanted to share a video one of the volunteers produced. It truly explains what my sister and I were doing there. More to come... check this out.

Hi Kat,
I will anxiously await your Saint Bernard's blog. The video was awesome, and to think that two of my daughters were participating in this work, makes my heart sing!
I love you.

Well done Kat - you have a heart of gold and are an inspiration to us all. Thank you for the reminder of how much more work there is to be done and how each of us can help still. Bless you.

Charity schmarity. I'll bet your nail beds look like hell. And god knows summer in the Bayou works magic on hair. Good luck luring another one of your love/hate-issue Metrosexuals for further bashing and abuse looking like that, G-F.

And with my luck I'd end up working next to Mr. Meditational Prayer from the little video there. You can just tell he's logged about 44 Neville shows since the last dental visit or shower.

If that's the stench of compassion, I guess you'll be smelling my Juniper scented post-shower scrub in pergatory

Peevishly,
Kyle Safron LaPierre.

Great writing, Kat....It is still so hard for me to believe that there is so much 'unrecovered' devastation...I am very proud to know that two of my kin have gone the extra mile to help out...
Keep writing.....and blogging...
Love and hugs,
Mar
